Mara, the personification of negative forces tried to stop his Sadhana. First three daughters of Mara tried to disturb him. Then negative forces tried to threaten him. Yet Gautama remained calm and unperturbed. This phase of Sadhana is a self psychoanalysis of the Sadhaka, who goes deep in the depth of his subconscious and unconscious mind.
