
On
21st March an important intellectuals' meet was held at Kalyani Hall of Prabal Pramanik's
Academy of Arts, at Bhamlada.
The main agenda of the meeting was to decide about the cultural and social welfare
programmes that are to be organized by Prabal Pramanik's Academy of Arts in the financial
year 2008 to 2009.
The decision was taken to publish three poetry books in Hindi, two poetry books in
Punjabi, as well as one poetry book in English. All these books will be lavishly
illustrated in colour.
Two other books on photography would be published too. Movies would be made on each book
that would have full audio visual effect.
Discussion was made about the summer festival that would be organized by the Academy in
June 2008.
It was also finalized that two musical DVDs with animations will be released in 2008. In
April 2008 two special portfolios of art will be launched by the Academy in Pathankot.
The meeting was attended by Ashok Bakshi, Ramraksh Pal Sharma, Naresh Dinanagari, Surjit
Thakur, Jaisi Thakur, Suresh Pathania, Puran Ehsan, Harish Bali, Devender Bharadwaj,
Rahual, Arup Chandra and Prabal Pramanik.
