Exhibition of Devasthanakala paper cutting art at Chamba.

Prabal Pramanik’s Academy of Arts held an exhibition on Gautama Buddha in collaboration with Bhuri Singh Museum, Chamba, at the museum premises.
The exhibition featured some important events from the life of Buddha and displays illuminating facts about Buddha’s life and philosophy.
The show was inaugurated by Shri Dev Badotra, a senior artist of Chamba, Ustad Kalakar Prabal Pramanik gave live demonstrations of his paper cutting art to the visitors at the exposition.
This rare art of Devasthanakala paper cutting requires the artist to cutout complete compositions without drawing or coping and has traditions reaching back hundreds of years. Many local visitors as well as tourists enjoyed the show.
